Mrs. Ruth Ann Pope teaches in the pre-k classroom. There is a maximum of 8 children permitted here. Children must be 4 years old to enroll in this class.

Mrs. Pope works with her class to prepare them for kindergarten. They learn their alphabet; recognizing the letters, sounds, and writing of each one. They work on shapes, colors and numbers; counting, recognizing, and writing numbers 1-10. Mrs. Pope also has some reading, math and science time with the students throughout the year. She focuses on getting the children to sit still and listen to instruction, as well as continued work with their fine and gross motor skills.

At the end of each year the Pre-kindergarten class holds a graduation ceremony.
